About Marcus

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm an explosive slasher who attacks the rim with speed and athleticism, and can also score consistently from the mid-range and 3 point area.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

"I am Confident, hard-working, and focused on always getting better."

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

"Outside of basketball I enjoy golf and video games. These activities help me develop focus, strategy, and problem-solving skills both on and off the court."

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

"I've developed leadership by encouraging my teammates, developed teamwork by always putting the groups success first, and discipline through staying focused on my goals."

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

“A significant challenge I faced was learning to stay consistent against the top players my age in AAU. The competition is always tough, and every game you have to bring energy and focus. At first it was hard to stay confident when things didn’t go my way, but I worked on my mentality, trusted my training, and now I use every challenge as motivation to improve.”

What type of college are you looking for?

"I'm looking for a college with strong academics, a competitive basketball program, and a supportive environment that will push me to grow on and off the court."

Marcus is a long and athletic wing/forward who had a lot of success slashing to the basket on Saturday night. He ran the floor as hard as any player I saw in transition, resulting in a handful of easy finishes at the rim. In the half-court he could beat you with a backdoor cut, showed he can attack with a straight line drive, and was aggressive crashing the offensive glass for second chance opportunities. Possesses the physical tools and work-rate to become a good player down the road.
