also makes the group. Marco and the North Charleston Cougars are in 3A Region 6. Simpson led the team at 10.7 Points Per Game along with 2.0 Steals Per Game last year. He is a great athlete who is an explosive jumper and is very fast with the ball in his hands. Simpson is at his best using these physical attributes to get the ball to the rim, but he is also a decent shooter from the outside. Marco works hard on the defensive end as well, moving his feet, creating havoc for ball-handlers, and crashing the glass.

Simpson is a very bouncy and athletic guard for the Cougars. Marco is a pogo stick athlete it seems on the floor. He’s a streaky shooter at times from the perimeter. Marco is a very quick leaper and still is really figuring out at times how to play the game.
Marco plays the game to the fullest at all 94 feet and never turns off his motor while on the floor. Simpson averaged 10.7 ppg last season for the Cougars (19-9) coached by longtime Head Coach Tony Eady.

Simpson has had a solid spring and summer for the Cougars. Marco brings a lot of energy and HUSTLE to the floor at all times. He’s a pest on the defensive end of the floor at times with his quick hands and the ability to jump the passing lanes. Marco still must tighten up his handles down the road.
Simpson wants the ball in crunch time of the game. He seems to step up to the plate for big finish every time around. Can the Cougars make some noise in the Lower State come this season?
