The #51 ranked prospect in South Carolina’s Junior Class, Marco Simpson Marco Simpson 6'1" | CG North Charleston | 2026 SC also makes the group. Marco and the North Charleston Cougars are in 3A Region 6. Simpson led the team at 10.7 Points Per Game along with 2.0 Steals Per Game last year. He is a great athlete who is an explosive jumper and is very fast with the ball in his hands. Simpson is at his best using these physical attributes to get the ball to the rim, but he is also a decent shooter from the outside. Marco works hard on the defensive end as well, moving his feet, creating havoc for ball-handlers, and crashing the glass.

Simpson is a very bouncy and athletic guard for the Cougars. Marco is a pogo stick athlete it seems on the floor. He’s a streaky shooter at times from the perimeter. Marco is a very quick leaper and still is really figuring out at times how to play the game.

Marco plays the game to the fullest at all 94 feet and never turns off his motor while on the floor. Simpson averaged 10.7 ppg last season for the Cougars (19-9) coached by longtime Head Coach Tony Eady.
