Hands, hands, hands. I stopped counting the number of times that Anderson caught balls that were about to soar out of bounds or floated off other players’ fingertips. A booming presence in the paint, Anderson was automatic on the glass and also stood out as a scoring threat. He was active without the ball, setting screens and attempting to get open throughout the game. My favorite thing about Anderson was his motor – he never gave up on the play and if the crowd was cheering, it was often a result of his ability to generate a seemingly-impossible second chance opportunity. With such reliable hands and a motor that doesn’t quit, Anderson has a home in Chicago basketball in the years to come.
