dropped 22 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 steals is a hard fought game against JL3 Elite. Price put his stamp on the game as a true shot maker with a shooter’s touch, impacting things across multiple areas while scoring with confidence and a remarkable feel for the game. Price maneuvered the court and through defense well both with and without the ball, showing a natural understanding of spacing and timing to create and find creases within the defense. Once he identified an opening, he attacked decisively, penetrating with purpose and drawing contact while remaining composed through traffic. Beyond the scoring,

was electric, finishing with a team leading 20 points while setting the tone with his aggressiveness. He consistently got out and attacked in transition, putting pressure on the defense before it could get set. When he got out in space, he made it count.
His step-back mid-range jumper was next level, a go-to weapon he seems to have perfected. Price also knocked down two threes, showing confidence and range from the perimeter. The highlight of the night came when he jumped a pass at midcourt and finished with an explosive one-handed jam, a play that summed up his speed, instincts, and athleticism.
With his ability to score at all three levels and create momentum-changing plays,

Price is a shifty and skilled combo guard that can spray shots from various spots on the floor, as well as provide elite perimeter defense to make life difficult for opposing guards. Price keeps the ball on a string to survey the floor, is aggressive in looking to attack holes in the defense and get paint touches, has touch on the floater down the lane, great body control on the mid-range jumper, and is efficient with the 3-ball off the bounce. He uses the between cross, the low crossover, and the hesitation to get his defender off balance, has the court vision to find open players cutting off the ball, is a great positional rebounder that looks to advance the ball up the court, has a great burst of speed off the dribble with the physical prowess to score at the basket with contact using the up-and-under or Euro-step lay-ups to evade length at the basket. Price is at his best when he is hunting the jumper, with the control and skill to connect on the spin-fade, fadeaway, and one-leg jumper off the bounce routinely. Defensively, Price has the lateral quickness, quick hands, and good timing to rip the ball out or deflect passes in the passing lanes to turn defense to offense, and has the bounce to get the chase down block or alter perimeter shots. He scored 13 points in St. Joseph’s win over Clovis North.

Price played a vital role for the Knights last season and was often tasked with defending the oppositions best perimeter player, en route to the team winning the D1 Central Section title. The 6-foot-1 combo guard played stellar basketball throughout the month of June at both scholastic live period events in Arizona and California, which he carried into Peach Jam play (the EYBL Championships) for Team Why Not 16s last week. Price has an elite handle on the ball, shifty moves with the crossover or hard pound dribble hesitation to create space from his defender, gets good lift on the jump shot, and has great body control when in the air for shots around the basket or the perimeter. Price can knockdown the jumper with accuracy from the mid-range to the 3-point line, he moves well off the ball for open looks off the catch, and has the court vision to make some impressive reads in tight windows off the dribble drive. Defensively, Price is a lock-down on-ball defender with the strength and active hands to rip his opponent with frequency and get in the open court for easy buckets. Price plays with a fast pace, but under control, which makes him tough to contain, and his ability to connect on tough, off-balance shots shows why he will likely be the Knights 2nd leading scorer behind his older brother Julius. Price is one of the more slept on players nationally, but his play at Peach Jam and what is expected this coming season should change that narrative.
