Can be utilized as a 1 or 2 at the next level. Catches a lot of defensive attention from his effective shooting abilities. Will share the rock as the team’s primary point guard and create opportunities for teammates. Utilizes step backs efficiently off the dribble to create space and knock it down. Went to the drive a bit more in the second half and had a nice take to the rim off the dribble and another one for an And 1 to finish through contact. Finished as his program’s all time career leader in point.

The 5’10 PG is filling up the stat sheet early on, averaging over 26 points per game. Persinger plays through contact well and uses good body control to finish around the rim. He also has range from the perimeter, knocking down 44 3’s in his first 11 games this season. An undersized gamer who will continue to devour 1A competition, I would expect his recruitment to start growing soon. Worth a look at the Division 2 level.
