is a versatile player who impacts the game in multiple ways. His length and athleticism allow him to stay on the floor and create matchup problems for opposing teams. Knox’s versatility makes him a valuable piece for Sandia on both ends of the court.
As Sandia continues to get healthy and put its full roster together, Knox has become an important part of the puzzle. He contributes offensively and defensively, bringing energy and athleticism that helps his team play at a fast pace. In transition, Knox is a threat when running the floor thanks to his ability to finish strong at the rim.
On the defensive end, he is disruptive and active, helping create opportunities for Sandia to push the ball and get out in transition. With a trip to the championship game on the line, look for Knox to play a key role in helping keep Sandia’s title aspirations alive.

is ready for the upcoming season. He had a strong summer offensively which caught people’s attention in the gyms he played. Malachi is very athletic and can shut other players down given the opportunity. When we think of Malachi, we think of his highlight drives to the basket but this weekend we were able to see blocks and steals as well. His intensity this weekend on the defensive end impacted his team tremendously in a positive way. They were all shutting players down and off in transition. His athleticism allows him to go up and block shots with ease. Once Malachi makes a steal he can either beat players down the court or use his vision to involve his teammates.

had one of the strongest offseasons in the 2027 class, earning his way into the top ten. The 6’1” guard from Sandia plays with tremendous intensity and competitive edge. He’s capable of scoring in bunches and creating separation off the bounce, while also committing to defense with the same energy. Knox’s ability to impact games on both ends and perform in big moments makes him one of the most exciting players to watch in New Mexico basketball.
