Expert Analysis
Devontae Cobb | Prep Hoops Scout
Quick release and reliable catch-and-shoot three made him a threat off drive-and-kick action or when defender hands were down. He fit seamlessly as a connector piece, never forcing the issue but making timely shots, extra passes, and momentum-swinging defensive stops.

is a guard that I saw get his role upgraded as the Prep Hoops Circuit continued this summer. Offensively he was heavily involved being a key contributor on that end of the floor. When seeing him play at the Spurs City Shootout he was a scoring threat excelling going downhill on the majority of his scoring opportunities while being a factor in perimeter scoring. He is the type of player to impact defensively hustling in big moments swinging the momentum of games at times.
What’s Next for Malachi?
Malachi will be an upcoming sophomore in high school where he has the chance to carry on his offensive production from the AAU season. I believe Malachi can expand his game even more with continued development, but he has to put in the work to make that happen. I’m looking forward to seeing what his development looks like going forward in his high school career.

Davis got paint touch after paint touch, slithered through traffic with agility and balance. Scored with a scoop lay-up, then next trip dropped a no-look dime across the lane for a 3-ball. He’s small, but he’s a problem, plays with pace and guts.

kept his dribble and crossovers low to the ground, maximizing control and making it tough for defenders to read. His foot speed combined with gear-shifting ability created serious problems for defenders, who feared his sudden, ankle-breaking changes of direction. His handle was both deceptive and explosive.

was a huge spark off the bench against
B3 Elite
15U for the final game of Friday night. Any time Malachi had the opportunity to score he got himself a lot of good looks capitalizing on most of those opportunities. He got by plenty of the
B3 Elite
15U defenders with his burst of speed going towards the basket. Malachi should definitely see more minutes as the tournament goes on this weekend. In my opinion I wouldn’t be surprised if he started after this performance tonight. Look out for Malachi to put on some more good scoring performances this weekend along with his hustle on the defensive end!
