Big guard that has a natural understanding for what to do with the ball and stringing baskets together. There were times this summer I watched Malachi effortlessly get into his spots and rise over the contest or finish strong at the rim. Versatile but fundamental scorer, can spot up on the outside while the offense is run, or he can take his matchup 1-on-1 and score in isolation. His reads on the floor are smooth to watch, he can pick apart a defense by penetrating the lane or by clearing out the lane for him to break down his defender. Has a chance to be special if he keeps the production consistent and progresses year-by-year.

Malachi was one of our biggest additions to the rankings. Great size and skill as a wing prospect and uses it well. Like the way he can use his strength and speed to get to the basket and finish through. Malachi showed he is a true 3-level scorer, reliably knocking down jumpers both spotting up or off the dribble. Never worried about the contest due to his athleticism and lift on his jumpshot. I hope to see his game evolve over time as he should be a major force at Lake Clifton.

I felt that Malachi was Team Silk ‘s most consistent and reliable scorer. He got to the rim and finished with ease off the dribble. Malachi has good size as a guard and knows how to use his pace to get where he wants offensively. He buried a couple 3’s when left open and looked comfortable operating in the midrange area. Already has a sound offensive game as an incoming sophomore.
