Pond returns from a brief venture out of state to rejoin Issaquah and help lead the Eagles in his senior season after a stint with the Diamond Doves. He’s a lengthy scorer who can score from each level and will be one of the more exciting players to see this winter.

MacCoy had a great weekend during session 2 of the EYBL circuit in Memphis. He showed out on the defensive side of the ball, guarding all 5 positions and using his length and size to his advantage. His ability to recover quickly and get chase down blocks paired with his ability to be a sniper from deep on the offensive side makes him one of the most intriguing prospects in WA state.

MacCoy is a fast growing prospect within the entire state of Washington. He scores the ball from all 3 levels and has been making his scoring much more well rounded. Last season he hit tough fadeaway jumpers, contested threes, and even finishing around the rim through traffic. He killed it during the Pangos All American Preview, being named a top 30 player from the camp. His FOH squad will be in Memphis, Tennessee for the live period.

MacCoy was one of the best players all day long, doing great things during 3on3 play when he had room to get to his spots, which he did consistently. He sets solid screens and excelled when popping out to hit the deep shot. He crashed the boards hard every play, rising above to come down with the rebound. He could be a riser during the rankings update here soon.

Pond is a shot-maker who can create on all three levels and operates with an incredible handle for his size. He has scorer written all over him and played a big role for Issaquah last season as a sophomore. He’s a kid I think will take a big step forward this winter as his team starts to rely on his playmaking and ability to create off the bounce even more.

Pond is a big add to the rankings as a tall guard who can already handle the rock and shoot at a high level. He’s been an instant contributor at Issaquah with his ability to shoot from the outside, get to spots in the mid-range for pull-ups and turnaround jumpers, and his slashing to the rim. A lot of his game stems from his handle and how quick he gets in and out of moves, the diversity of the moves he deploys, and his combo of length and quickness. He’s got a lot of upside to look forward to.

Pond’s a tall, athletic guard who has a good stroke from 3-point and shows the patience to work his man with the dribble and shoot openings to beat his man. He’s a guy that will definitely rise up to the ranks in the next update and can go either direction to score from all levels.

I was surprised to see that he is only a sophomore. He played well with confidence, not holding back. He is going to be a good one. He had some grab and go rebounds. He had a dunk, showing his athleticism. He has a great feel for the game. He also impressed with some of his decision making and passing. He had some good looks. He is a prospect to watch the next three years. rn
