Pettis is a two-sport athlete out of Crest High to get to know in NC’s 2026 rankings. He led the Mustangs on the hardwood this season with 16.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.6 steals per contest as they went 22-4 and made a run to the Elite Eight in the NCHSAA State Playoffs. He’s a gritty guard who gets after it with his abilities off the bounce and as a physical defender.

Pettis is already a commodity on the football field for 10-seed Crest High and is slowly becoming a name to know on the hardwood. He put up 31 points against North Buncombe in the opening round and has the Chargers alive in the NCHSAA 3A West race to the championship. He’s a competitive combo guard who’s hard to defend on the hardwood.
