My first time watching Rubin play, I caught one of the top scorers and passers from the Southwestern Buckeye League, finishing third in assists and sixth in points per game last season. Undersized, Rubin does a lot of the things that also don’t show up in the box score. He took multiple charges, talked on defense and pushed the ball up the court. Old school coaches will love watching this throwback point guard who has the talent to be a solid small college player, his older brother Darren is one of the NCAC’s best guards at Denison University.
