1/30/26: Luke Mathey Luke Mathey 5'9" | PG Brentwood | 2027 State TN (@MatheyLuke3) hit back-to-back 3’s midway through the 2nd quarter and, IMO, put the game away for Brentwood. It changed the game from 21-15 to 27-15. Franklin called a timeout. Mathey hit ANOTHER 3 a bit later. 33-15! That proved to be an insurmountable lead.

12//8/25: Luke is an interesting case. Luke can play basketball, but Brentwood is so loaded at the guard position that it is completely plausible that they simply would not use him. Instead Mathey forces his way into the rotation with speedy, disruptive defense. He works so hard with his legs to cut off passes and shrink the floor. Luke Mathey Luke Mathey 5'9" | PG Brentwood | 2027 State TN scored 8 points in the blowout win.

11/11/25: Solid. Mathey controlled the tempo very well. His teammates relied upon him to initiate the offense. An undersized point guard, Luke needed to inject a little wiggle to break by defenders…and he did. Mathey did not force shots under the basket when defenses collapsed. Instead, he found his James Worthy (Cochran). Beyond their wonderful individual skill this team shows that unique comfort that veteran teams display.

7/17/25: Gritty. Did not take many shots against Team Thrill. Mostly, Luke provided ball-handling and made sound decisions. His reputation is that of a strong shooter, but again that was not shown off in this game.
