A solid shot creator with an elite handle, Archibald created separation from defenders with deceptive changes of direction. His footwork was designed to make defenders believe he was driving to the basket before creating separation with step-back moves. He pounded the ball with purpose, sizing up his man with a combination of between-the-legs and crossover dribbles to get defenders on their heels.
