Russ will look to be a piece of the North County varsity roster this season and based off his activity on both ends from Sunday, he should have a good chance in doing just that. He was at his best getting to spots inside the arc where pulled up for quick mid-range shots with a high release. He showed ability to finish with either hand on contested layups, was always willing to make the extra pass in transition to manufacture a better look and used his wiry frame to disrupt in the passing lanes.
