A disappointing afternoon for Taft, the Senators won their season opener over CMAC rival Western Hills but couldn’t find a way to make it two in a row against Newport Central Catholic. I did think McMullen was a bright spot on Saturday as his shot-making, athleticism and transition play were all positives. With such a young team, Taft is sure to go through some up’s and some down’s this winter and while today will sting, I’m sure they’ll have some marquee wins soon to get back on track.
