Logan Horton
About Logan
Expert Analysis
Tom Keller | Prep Hoops Scout
Horton made his presence felt as a rim protector altering many shots around the rim. He has great timing and uses his length with ease. He was also able to score from the foul line. He continues to get better.

The tallest player at the Expo, Horton played hard and grabbed a ton of rebounds. A prospect who gets better each time I watch him play, Horton has slowly started to become more confident with the ball and figuring out where to be to make the biggest impact for his team. It was fun watching him compete against his younger brother Alan in the first game of the Expo on court one. Expect this pair to cause a lot of trouble for opposing teams this winter with Toledo St Francis.

Horton is someone who has been very raw. Super tall and big kid that you could tell was learning how to play the game. I was very excited to see it on Saturday it looks like he is figuring it out, which is scary. Listed at 6’11, the tallest player in the event. He showed a good ability to finish with both hands in the paint. He seemed to get his hand on every rebound and grabbed a ton. His rim protection was excellent. He had a ton of blocks. One time literally grabbed the ball out of the other player’s hands as he tried to lay it up near him. He was altering everything that came in the rim. His motor is still very high. Runs the floor. Really liked what I saw out of

is listed as the tallest player in the event, and he is one big kid. He is extremely tall as he is listed at 6’10. With that height some great tools come with that. He is very long player, and he moves well. My first time watching him play was last year at this event and I could only think to myself his potential being through the roof. He plays with a very high motor. His effort is never in question. He puts the ball in the rim with either hand when he is around it. He is such a big kid that it’s difficult to stop him from getting to his spot. He gets a ton of rebounds. Someone that will catch your eye at the event.

The Horton brothers are on the move to Toledo St Francis and it’ll be interesting to see how much action they get as a duo and separately. While younger brother Alan is more polished, Logan stands a couple inches taller and has made some strides with the ball in his hands with the Ohio Buckets this spring before playing July with Michigan Unified. Horton is also a high academic prospect with a 4.0 GPA according to his twitter bio. Constantly checking in on a bigs development is crucial, so seeing Horton in the fall at the Toledo Top 64 will be another opportunity to see the progress he’s made.
