Previous Rank: 112
-Razi was named to the All-IAC Team in addition to 1st Team All-DC by the DC Coaches’ Association for his play in his final run with the Bulldogs. He averaged 16p 5a 3r 2s for St. Albans as a crafty scoring point guard that knew how call his own number while also fullfilling his role as a distributor and leader for this team. His play-making vision from the wings and shooting ability allowed STA to play several 3-guard lineups that generated a ton of ball movement for a high octane offense in DC.

-Razi’s play at both ends of the court got his team off to a lightning-quick start for a home game that they lead for most of the contest. Razi started things off when he turned on the jets to separate from the pack to score a run out layup in transition, hit his matchup with a jab to get the step on a drive from the wing to the rim before he finished with an inside hand layup, knocked down a pull-up paint two in transition, picked up his dribble but still knocked down a mid-post fader on a taller defender, threw a smooth hook pass to the shake shooter, came off a baseline double screen to knock down the corner 3 off the BLOB set, and hit a late three off the bounce to bring the game back within 6.

-Liked the way that Razi played off of two feet in the event to give himself good balance and allow him the options to score or kick out to shooters on his drives to the paint. Razi is fundamentally solid, plays with good pace in the halfcourt, and is capable off the ball because of his ability to knock down shots. Thought that Razi has made some strides as an on-ball defender that has improved his ability to navigate screens and have his hands in passing lanes. But he is really disruptive as an off-ball defender because he uses his IQ to be in the right position, time digs down to the post, and swipe away steals from ballhandlers.

-Always come away impressed with how Razi hunts the right shot, passing up contested looks to relocate to space for an open jumper off of flares. Razi is a good mover off the ball but can also create space well with stepbacks or by walking into pull-up jumpers. The footwork on his movement shots allows him to get off clean looks before the defense can even realize that he’s open. His ability to pass from above the break to free up open shots for teammates works in his favor to create spacing to get off clean looks of his own.

Razi shot the lights out in the one game I watched him play. He has deep range on his shot and really gets it off quickly, which is important for a guard his size. He also had a couple very nice pull-up jumpers in the mid range where he essentially picked a spot on the floor, got to it, and rose up over the defense for a nice shot. His playmaking and passing chops are solid, too. Size will be his biggest limitation, but a good senior season could land him some solid D3 opportunities, at least at the low or mid level programs.
