About Layten

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

As a Forward, I focus on being a strong rebounder and playing with high energy. I crash the boards hard on both ends, fight for loose balls, and use my quickness to get good position. On offense, I like to finish around the rim, and find open teammates. On defense, I stay aggressive, guard multiple positions and grab boards. I also a love to catch and shoot so whenever i am open im going to shoot

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality is all about working hard, staying focused, and doing whatever it takes to help my team win. I stay positive no matter what and always try to outwork my opponent. I'm competitive but also a team player I want to lift up my teammates and keep the energy high every time I'm on the floor.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I've developed strong teamwork skills by always communicating on the court and making sure everyone stays connected. setting a good example with my effort and attitude, whether it's during games, practices, or even off the court. I believe in supporting my teammates and showing respect to coaches, refs, and the game itself. I always try to uplift my teammates even if we are losing

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

One challenge I’ve faced is being a little undersized for my position, especially as a small forward. A lot of players I go against are taller, so I’ve had to work extra hard on my strength, footwork, and timing to compete for rebounds and defend bigger players. It’s pushed me to be tougher, smarter, and more determined every time I step on the court.
