I saw a little bit of Lawrren this summer, but he really caught my eye on Sunday. He was one of the best shooters I saw at the entire event, as he was automatic from beyond the arc, off the catch or off the dribble. He did not force much with the ball in his hands, as he is an unselfish player who was also setting up his teammates for success. Ongeri also brought a lot of effort on the defensive end.

Ongeri hoops with Power Circle out of Minnesota. He was a clear impact player in Indy! Lawrren finished the weekend with a standout game, he went for 17 points, 8 assists, 2 steals, and just 1 turnover. Through Nationals, Ongeri showed excellent poise and leadership at the PG spot. He took over in vital moments when the team needed a spark. His ability to read the game was phenomenal. Lawrren stayed composed and made the correct plays. He created for teammates and hit big shots. Ongeri controlled the pace, valued the ball, and brought toughness that does not always show up in the stat sheet. Lawrren made winning plays on both ends; his presence elevated everyone around him.

He runs with Power Circle. Ongeri is growing into the leadership role as a guard. He is coming off a big game last tourney where he scored 28 points by attacking the basket and draining clutch shots. Lawrren is a fearless player who is willing to at anyone. He communicates well on the court and sees the floor with a high IQ.

He runs with Power Circle Basketball Academy. Ongeri has performed well in the past on the PH Circuit. Lawrren is a physical guard and all-around player. He makes plays while slashing downhill and is a capable three-point shooter. Ongeri’s strength helps him finish at the basket. He is also a skilled ball handler who is not bothered by pressure. Lawrren plays composed and creative basketball.

WHY?

He runs with Power Circle Academy and had a solid quality weekend of basketball. Lawrren stood out as a game-changer with his physicality at the guard position and with his ability to impact the game in multiple ways. Ongeri attacked the basket with strength/confidence while also knocking down three-pointers consistently. His combination of skill and composure under pressure gave Power Circle a steady offensive presence all weekend at the Finals.
