Burgess was dominant whenever he was on the floor. His frame made him difficult to stop, and he controlled the glass. Burgess knocked down shots from the short corner and beyond the arc, while his post footwork continued to be the strongest part of his game. Teams were forced to foul him, and he converted at the line. The UNC Pembroke commit consistently imposed his presence.

Heading into his senior year, Burgess continues to be the anchor for Seminole. With insane length at 6’8 and a large frame, he can get to wherever he wants on the floor. He has exceptional footwork and a soft touch around the rim, making him a reliable option inside. Defensively, he moves well for his size and can alter or block shots with ease. Burgess should begin to see more college attention, as his skill set and physical tools are exactly what coaches at the next level look for.

Burgess is a skilled big man who can score in a variety of ways. The 6’8″ junior is a strong kid with a wide frame who uses his body nicely down low. He positions himself well and is an excellent rebounder on both ends of the floor. He has the ability to finish in the paint while absorbing contact, but also has a very nice stroke from behind the arc, where he shoots the 3-ball at a high rate. Burgess had multiple double-digit scoring performances during the tourney, including a 24 point, 10 rebound outing against Barron Collier.

Standing 6-8, Burgess uses his size well, carving out space inside and dominating as a two-way rebounder. Playing for the Florida BayHawks , he’s shown a soft touch around the basket and an ability to contribute on both ends, giving Seminole a solid inside presence this season.
