Westmoreland is one of the better athletes in the state. His future is on the football field where Larron is a 3 or 4 star DB depending on where you look. Still, the kid is just a really impressive athlete who averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds this past season and helped get J-Town within a couple of buckets of returning to Rupp Arena for the 3rd year in a row.

When we speak of “physically threatening opponents,” guys like Westmoreland are the first to come to mind. Basketball happens to be the second sport for the University of Kentucky football commit, but what he does on the hardwood looks like second nature. High-level intensity on defense and the ability to finish around the rim on the other end of the court came easy for the junior forward, but his ability to knock down shots might’ve stood out the most in the 6th Region tournament.

Westmoreland goes up 100 spots this update and moves from 175th to 75th. Like Carothers, Larron is a big time football recruit and holds multiple D1 offers. On the court, he’s just as dangerous thanks to his elite athleticism. With his size and athleticism, Westmoreland is a difference maker on the court and has been a big reason for J-Town’s recent success.

One of the top football athletes in the class of 2027 in Kentucky, Westmoreland already has a couple of FBS offers. Watching Westmoreland that comes as no surprise as physically he is built strong and pops vertically as an athlete. On the hardwood, Westmoreland kept it simple by finishing 6/7 from the floor as a rim finisher and rebounder, finishing with 14 points and 8 rebounds. End of a great run by Jeffersontown who were sparked by the return of Camron McDaniels and upset Louisville St Xavier in the opening round of the Sweet 16 tournament.
