Lyerly saw his stock rise on the hardwood in the 828 area this season. He was a new face who fit in the Maiden frontcourt well given his penchant for protecting the painted area. He produced 14.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.4 blocks per game as a presence in the paint and beyond this season. Given his size and production, he’s got potential to make a splash at the next level, if he doesn’t choose the gridiron first, that is.
