About Lamar

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Off the ball shooter a good passer. Push the ball up the court with being a good fast break player

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mentality will be that I love to play the game of basketball and will do whatever it takes to get better and win. Far as personality I am confident and love to have fun while playing the game of basketball. Talking to my teammates about stuff during the game, not getting to into my feelings, and just overall having fun.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Yes, I’ve played with Global Squad Hgsl for this past summer but will be looking forward into joining a different team next year.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

The qualities that i have developed was being more of a leader on the court due to i never really use to communicate that great with my teammates I have also worked on my defense because I’ve always struggled on cutting my opponents off the drive.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Not that I know of

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that I can play at while progressing through due time. I want to go to a college where I can be myself and not get judge for who I am. I would prefer to go d1 but whatever God has for me I’ll take it.

Atkinson recently joined Long Reach and took the first half to settle in as the Long Reach attack depended heavily upon Daniel Best, mentioned below. However, the second half belonged to Atkinson in a commanding way. The 6-foot-3 lead guard scored his game-high 23 points in the last two quarters alone and when the game was trending heavily towards Marriotts Ridge extending their double-digit lead, it was Atkinson’s shotmaking from three and his relentless attack on the rim that nearly single-handily brought Long Reach back within a possession of the lead.
