The Region 7-4A Player of the Year is somewhat of a sleeper still but quickly becoming a priority target for astute D-III programs. Cochran is a well-rounded perimeter scorer. He nails threes off the catch and is good at getting to his spots in the mid-range. Cochran is a crafty slasher as well, one that can catch opponents off guard with how bouncy he is. Defensively, Cochran excels at reading passing, good for a few deflections and jumped passes per game.

Khaven Cochran had a really strong day 1 shooting. After a slow 1st half in their 1st game he came out strong the 2nd half and sparked a comeback with a big 3, followed by 2 back to back steals and fast break dunks. He has a really soft finish around the rim that lets him control a lot of his finishes. His game is really showcased when he’s playing fast in transition. The faster the better for Cochran. When facing a double team it seems like he doesn’t even feel there pressure. He will dribble back and make a good pass out of split the double and take it to the basket. Khaven Cochran is one of my top players to watch going into Sunday.

Up from No. 101: Does a good job shooting into passing lanes. Finishes with dunks at the rim. Has a knack for finding space to knock down jumpers. Good mid-range shot and has three-point range. Athleticism took a huge leap form Year 2 to Year 3.

. Khaven is a three-level scorer that can light it up from deep and has really improved his ability to get to the rim and finish with authority. He is averaging 12.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.8 steals as one of the best guards in West Georgia.

Central-Carrollton is quickly becoming a serious player in Class 4A behind a balanced attack spearheaded by Cochran. He is a knockdown shooter off the catch and bounce and has exploded athletically this offseason becoming a consistent above the rim threat. College programs are starting to track Khaven.

D-III schools immediately put Khaven on their radar after his breakout performance in an 86-56 rout of Union Grove. Cochran stood out last season as a perimeter scorer, a very good shooter from the mid-range and three-point line. On Sunday however, it was his improved athleticism that wowed everyone in attendance. Cochran had five dunks on his way to finishing with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals.

Shot maker from the perimeter. Streaky three-point shooter can pile in points. Does a nice job of attacking the wings with his mid-range jumper. Thin guard is also a solid rebounder. Will get even better as he packs on weight to help with drives to the rim.
