Ari Rosenfeld | Prep Hoops Scout
A DMV native who’s quietly put together quite the career at Milton Hershey, Turner is looking to go out with a district title under his belt as the Trojans enter the postseason with a 20-2 record and top overall seed. Having recently scored his 1,000th career point, Turner is one of the more electric perimeter scorers in the state, averaging nearly 21 points per game with an exciting quick-twitch style. He’s constantly in attack mode while staying largely under control, attacking the rim with a blend of grace and explosiveness but also showing alluring flashes as a pullup shooter from the perimeter. He’ll need time to fill out his frame at the college level but Turner shows some indicators that he could prove to be a hidden gem if he slips too far below the D1 level.

Turner more than doubled his scoring average while bursting onto the scene last year as a junior, and is now back ready to lead a talented group looking to make noise in the Mid Penn Conference. A native of the DMV area who boards at Milton Hershey, Turner is a wiry, attack-minded scoring guard with standout length, fluidity, and twitch. He shows a blend of skill and explosiveness while working downhill toward the rim, playing well off of two feet to finish efficiently among the trees. He can keep defenses honest with his jumper while also using his length and athleticism to make plays on D that create opportunities in transition. Still flying mostly under the radar, Turner could prove to be a nice long-term pickup at the scholarship level with upside left to tap into as he gets more battle-tested and adds strength to his frame.

Turner is a very intriguing prospect who seems to get better after every game he plays. He shines on both sides of the ball and seems to be everywhere on the floor. Khalif will pick up his man full-court and pester him from start to finish. His offensive game is raw but ever-improving. He has a quick burst attacking the basket and a smooth jump shot.

Turner is a crafty guard who does a nice job articulating himself off the dribble to get to different spots on the floor. He has a broad first step that allows him to turn the corner quickly. He also shows that he has the ability to run the break and innate offense quickly. Turner can put the ball into tight gaps and find his teammates for highlight passes. He also has the ability to finish with either hand inside. Hopefully he can add muscle to his frame and make his transition to college smoother.
