-Simmons enjoyed a productive postgrad season and extended that impact in a good weekend with Breakdown Elite. Simmons has a sturdy frame, relentlessly attacks the rim to finish well over his matchup whether that is a big or a guard, and is a tsunami of defensive effort as a switchable guard prospect that can guard 1-4 against most teams. Simmons knocked down midrange jumpers off the catch, was dynamic in transition, put pressure on the rim, and made the most of his trips to the FT line.

Simmons left a strong impression with his solid play at the Prep Hoops 250 Expo last month. It was clear he had lead guard characteristics, as more and more teammates started to defer to him as the offensive initiator. Solid all-around player who defends first and foremost. He can shut down an offense’s possession and take it down the floor and score singlehandedly. Deadly threat outside the arc as well. Entering his final year at Gaithersburg, Simmons looks to carry his off-season successes into a strong finale.

is a big, strong guard who excels at attacking the rim. His frame and athleticism make him a difficult cover when he gets downhill. You can’t put most smaller guards on Kevin because he will bully them and score in the paint at will. Kevin has the speed to get around a lot of bigger wings, so it makes him a difficult cover. Kevin is a good shooter, and if you try and force him to hit jump shots to keep him from driving he can make you pay. Kevin is a real matchup nightmare on Gaithersburg.

Plays with a lot of confidence. Puts it on the floor and makes physical straight-line drives with his well-built frame, is a good cutter, and can score when taking smaller defenders into the paint or using his quickness/athleticism to get around bigger opponents.
