​The Bonnabel High School guard put on an absolute clinic in competitive character, establishing himself as one of the most intriguing, high-octane prospects in Louisiana’s Class of 2028. There are players who read the temperature of a game, and then there are players who change it. Harper Jr. is firmly the latter. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, he operated with a super motor that simply didn’t switch off.
​In a setting where heavy summer legs usually lead to lazy transition defense and settled jumpers, Harper Jr. played at maximum capacity on both ends of the court. His intensity was palpable, anchoring Bonnabel’s perimeter defense and making life miserable for opposing ballhandlers. When the Bruins needed a spark, it usually started with him diving for a loose ball, deflecting a pass, or turning a dead possession into a fast-break opportunity.
