Looks like he is only 6’1 but has long arms and a mature frame to withstand contact on either side of the ball. Relentless at getting downhill and finishing amongst the trees. Ambidextrous finisher on either side of the rim and has an array of floaters or under the rim moves to keep defenses honest. Versatile with the ability to play on or off the ball but his off-ball movement and cutting really stood out.

Keith’s athleticism will sneak up on you if you’re not careful, but Keith does an excellent job of knowing when to be aggressive and when to dial it back. Every possession he was dialed in and showcasing one of the higher motors from the guard position in the gym. Rebounded the ball well for his position and initiated offense effectively when the ball was in his hands in transition. Capable shooter from outside but relied more on getting to the mid-range and rim, which is something I applaud as he does not need to play out of his strengths to be effective.

Keith Forbes Keith Forbes 6'1" | CG Lake Wylie | 2029 State SC rounds out this list of New 2029s Inside the Top 75 of the Prep Hoops South Carolina Rankings. Forbes caught my eye in June with the new Lake Wylie High School, and he should be a key player for them over the next few years thanks to a good combination of size and athleticism to affect the game in multiple ways.

Like Gibson, Forbes comes from Clover to join the Chargers in 2026. Listed at 6’1″, Keith has a strong frame plus good athleticism to give him an advantage on the floor. He also plays with a good motor, and he simply outworked the opponent on multiple occasions in the first half to earn offensive rebounds. There were also flashes of his scoring ability, as he knocked down a three and a mid-range jumper off the dribble. If those flashes become more consistent and he continues to contribute in the hustle category, Forbes will certainly be a key piece for Lake Wylie.
