Watkins is a strong post prospect who can score on the block and in the midrange. He wants to play in the post and showed his ability to finish around the rim with either hand. The rising senior has good footwork and touch around the rim. Watkins is a productive rebounder who has a good feel for the game and improved his recruiting profile with Georgia Legacy during July.

It was an ugly loss to Carver-Columbus but when the game was slowed down and played in the halfcourt, Keaton was effective. The physical post finished with 6 points, 6 rebounds and 3 blocks. Carver’s length and athleticism made it challenging for the Rebels to finish at the rim, but when Watkins was able to gather himself and use ball fakes, he managed to convert. I really liked how he anchored the paint defensively with his underrated shot blocking.

Watkins was one of the more productive frontcourt players this spring for Georgia Legacy, recording multiple double-doubles while consistently impacting games on both ends of the floor. A big, strong post prospect, he embraces physical play and does his best work around the basket. Watkins is most comfortable operating on the block, where his good footwork, touch, and understanding of positioning allow him to score efficiently in the paint. He finishes well through contact, rebounds at a high rate, and uses his strength to establish deep post position. While he thrives inside, he also possesses enough versatility to step away from the basket and knock down an open perimeter jumper, adding another dimension to his offensive game.

Watkins brings an old-school presence with modern versatility. The physical post player plays patiently with his back to the basket and showcases advanced footwork using up-and-unders, pivots and counters before finishing. Keaton scores comfortably with either hand and owns a reliable hook shot around the paint.

He also faces up effectively from the wing where he backs defenders down and spins into finishes near the basket. Watkins understands how to use his frame and consistently plays through contact. The skillset extends beyond the paint as he confidently knocks down straightaway threes and impacts the pick-and-roll both as a roller and popper.

Defensively, Watkins walls up well one-on-one and blocks shots without gambling or leaving his feet unnecessarily. His combination of size, touch, patience and versatility makes him one of the more intriguing forwards poised to climb recruiting boards during the live period.

The Fannin County big man put together a strong season, earning First Team All-Region honors while continuing to elevate his stock. He has good strength, rebounds his area effectively, and shows soft touch around the paint. He’s also capable of putting it on the floor in straight lines from the perimeter and is a capable passer which adds to his offensive versatility. With a high basketball IQ and steady production, he looks poised for a good offseason with Georgia Legacy.

Physical big-body post has an old school feel with a new school skill set. Extremely patient in the pivot with his back to the basket, utilizing up-and-unders and multiple moves before scoring. Finishes with both hands and has a trusty hook in his back pocket. Will attack from the wing, backing down his man with spins before scoring up close. Understands how to use his frame and size advantage as he is good at playing through contact. Likes to shoot the straightaway three. Nailed a handful of triples throughout camp. Highly effective in the pick-and-roll as both a roller and a popper. Reliable one-on-one post defender who walls up and blocks shots without fouling or needing to jump much.

Strong wide-body post understands how to use his frame to his advantage. Scores with drop steps and hook shots. When fouled, Watkins has a soft touch from the foul line. Although he may not look like an explosive vertical leaper, Keaton is a very effective rim protector with his shot blocking ability. Sneaky good prospect could become a trendy prospect for D-III and potentially D-II programs moving forward.

I liked what Keaton did inside for the Rebels . He is a no-frills big man that rebounds and protects the rim. The big body post collected 6 points, 5 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 blocks. He did well walling up to alter shots. Watkins showed a soft touch at the line going 6-6.
