I was impressed with Welch’s motor. NW Ohio squad was playing in a massive pool game that dictated tournament bracket, and you could tell Welch really wanted to win. He showed competitive excellence. He was the ball handler and decision-maker for his squad and did a great job. He does a good job of putting defenders on his hip and getting to the rim. He dictates contact well when driving to the rim. He is a smart player and someone you want on your team.

Scorer. Welch adds a true scoring element to this NW Ohio squad, which puts pressure on the defense whenever he has the rock. Shoots the ball extremely well and is very comfortable in the mid-range. The defense had absolutely no answers for him.
