A force to be reckoned with at the PG spot; when looking for a pass-first PG who can also get his own, look no further; it will be interesting to see how his senior season goes given a lot of coaches want a true PG in the current NIL landscape of college basketball; was productive this past weekend at OTR with 19 ppg, 6 rpg and 5 apg

Rose was in the fourth round last season before losing to Southern Durham and just gave a NCISAA 3A contender a dog fight thanks to their junior lead guard. Chase is a dog on the defensive end who isn’t afraid to take over the game on the offensive end when needed. He showed he’s slightly undersized but makes up for it with a strong frame and quick trigger that he can get off with the ball in his hands or in off ball situations.

The 2nd leading scorer of the 16U division has had one of the better summers of any guards in his respective area in terms of scoring the ball. He showcased the ability to score from all three levels using his frame to his spots. But he still did the majority of his damage from beyond the three point line, whether off the catch or off the dribble he was putting the ball in the bucket.

The weekend was no different than the previous events we’ve seen from Chase this summer. He played with a nice pace and filled it up from all over the floor. Mostly known for his three point shooting he did a solid job of using his frame to get to the rim as well. I expect a major year from the rising junior prospect for JH Rose.

Rose’s identity is fast, gritty, and team oriented the identity showcased by their lead guard. He’s a strong built two sport athlete with range well beyond the three point line and a quick handle that helps his solid ability to finish at the rim. He’ll help fill the void left behind by the departure of senior guard Justin Grimes in a major way.

Chase is a two-way presence to watch with Team Trezz on the independent stage this grassroots cycle. He’s the fifth-rated point guard prospect out of J H Rose, where he shined on the varsity scene. He produced 5.2 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.3 steals per game for a 23-5 squad. He’s a strong lead guard due to breakout in the state very soon.

Chase was quite the leading name for Team Trezz on the 16U stage as they nearly took home the 16U Slam Championship. He finished tied for second in the division in total points (71) and first in scoring average (23.7 ppg) as he showcased his range on the perimeter. He’s a sharp guard with a knack for making things happen as a perimeter and playmaking presence on both ends of the floor.

One of the leading scorers at the guard position on the weekend continued the success we saw him have during the HS season. Known for being a fundamentally sound defender In this showing, he did a nice job of shooting the three ball at a high rate as well as setting up teammates and keeping the offense flowing.

Chase is an emerging floor general to get to know out of JH Rose High who debuts at 36th in the latest rankings update. He’s shown he can control the pace of the game with the ball in his hands and holds his own as quite the defensive presence on the opposite end. He’s a name to keep eyes on with Team Trezz on the independent grassroots scene in July.
