Haydon has been scoring at a high rate to start his senior season, including big buckets in a come back victory this week. Still at his best on offense as a spot up threat and transition threat. But in these clips showed he can attack the rim well when ran off the line. One of his most recruitable aspects is the motor he plays with on defense. Gets on the floor for loose balls and causes havoc by often playing hard.

Haydon has been a fun watch as a bouncy and aggressive role player for El Reno. He would hit the occasional three, fly around with energy on defense and even mix in a few above the rim plays. Heading into his senior season, he’ll need to play a bigger role with the Indians graduating a lot of production. Based on how he shot the ball at the RUN Showcase this month, he looks improved and ready to make a big step forward. Look for Haydon and junior Jacob Nicholes to form a tough duo that will keep El Reno in the mix in 5A.

Athletic guard prospect, who has had some highs this spring and summer. Which has seen him expanding his scoring and shooting, in expectations of a bigger senior year role for the Indians. His high school highlights from last year are more of the role player variety. Catch and shoot threes made up a lot of his offensive output. But there’s a lot more to his game than just shooting. He’s an explosive athlete, capable of playing around the rim. While also bringing grittiness to the game, how many tapes show a player taking a charge? Has the tools and it looks like the mindset to be a late bloomer.

It was a complete team effort for El Reno in the decisive win for the regional title. Multiple players around their senior trio stepped up, including the high energy, athletic sophomore. He got the party started with a three in the opening moments. Then hit another in the second quarter. In between he flew around providing hustle plays and energy. Finished with 12 points. His contributions were pivotal tonight, and will be as the Indians continue their march for a Gold Ball.

Everytime I glanced at a Trae Young 16U Gold game, it seemed like Haydon was making eye popping plays. There was a baseline drive and mega slam on Saturday. A chase down block in the title game on Sunday. And more athletic plays sprinkled throughout. El Reno is expected to be one of the top contenders in 5A, and Haydon will add to their depth and athleticism that will be needed to compete with the metro based 5A powerhouses.
