One of the best defensive plays I saw all season was when Keyes blocked a corner 3-pointer at the buzzer that would’ve tied the game Vs Delaware Hayes that won Groveport Madison’s first district title this century. A super athlete, Keyes can fly in transition and caused havoc defensively. Groveport played a high-pressure defensive style which overwhelmed a bunch of opposing teams and Keyes was arguably their most impactful defensive player.

Keyes made one of the best defensive plays of the year when he blocked a corner 3-pointer that would’ve tied the game with 10 seconds left to allow Groveport Madison to win their first district title this century. Keyes is an extremely talented athlete who can run and jump with anybody. He made his impact flying around the court defensively and in transition as a scorer. I love the motor he plays with and when you combine that with his physical gifts, he is an intriguing small college target.

In what was by far the sloppiest game of the day, Groveport Madison used a strong fourth quarter effort to pull away from Columbus South and start their season with a win. Keyes was one of the most athletic players I saw on Saturday as he is a monster athlete vertically. That was shown at the end of the game with a monster slam dunk to help his team get some separation. Keyes has a quick first step and wanted to get downhill off the dribble. In transition was where he found the most success offensively.
