About Kam

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style is versatile and team building focused. As a combo guard, I can score when needed but also set up plays and get my teammates involved. I like to read the defense, play with pace, and bring energy on both ends of the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am extremely focused, locked in, and all about helping my team secure the win. I bring intensity every time I step on the court and hold myself to a high standard. I stay mentally tough, lead by example, and always keep the bigger goal in mind.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

4 time Highest GPA recipient and 8-year Academic Excellence Honor Roll student. I’ve earned multiple academic awards and serve as a Student Council representative.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed strong leadership skills as a team captain, where I lead by example and keep my team motivated. Off the court, I’ve served at my church through events like meal packing for Haiti and Back to School Missions, which have taught me the value of teamwork, responsibility, and giving back.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being undersized and battling through injuries have been tough, but they’ve shaped who I am. I’ve had to outwork others, stay mentally strong, and stay committed when things weren’t easy. Those challenges taught me resilience, built my character, and made every success more meaningful.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will push me on and off the court . A school with high-level training, strong competition, and a culture that will help me grow as a player and a leader, preparing me for the next level.

Shooters are always interesting to watch, because they tend to make their own luck. The first note on Smith came when he banked in a three. But he proved it wasn’t luck, and like any good shooter followed it up with. DEEP three soon after. Can also utilize pumpfakes to attack close outs. Either redirecting into the mid-range or lofting shots over taller defenders at the rim.
