A quick guard that thrives playing in an up tempo and fast paced style on both sides of the ball. Hayes was a defensive agitator throughout the day applying pressure to the ball handler in both the full and half court settings. He brings a disruptive instinct using his speed and active hands to generate multiple steals. If there was an all defensive team at the showcase, Hayes would have been a first ballot nominee. On the offensive end, he utilized ball screens effectivity to turn corners sharply and generate paint touches. He can adjust to different speeds while getting closer to the rim to draw help then dish off or finish himself. His vertical also popped on some rebounds which adds to his overall variety of tangibles he brings to the floor.
