About Kallie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style involves a lot of beyond the arc shots, with some finishing and lots of passing and getting players involved.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I always work hard at practices, and stay focused while always bringing a supportive attitude to any team. I try to be vocal on the court, and encourage my team in any way I can. My main goal is to win every play, and help me and my team move onto the next play/possession and win games.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am currently involved in two clubs, warrior friends forever and hearts for heroes. In warrior friends forever, we work with some kids with special needs and try and give them a friendship to go to and hang out with them once every cycle. In hearts for heroes, we help support veterans who served for our country, and write them cards and spend time with them.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed a good sense of teamwork and communication, being a leader on the court and a good role model, and also being reliable and a source for my teammates if they need help.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The first challenge I can think of is joining my high school team, and trying to find my role and place on the team. I wanted to always work hard and prove that I deserved to be there, and it definitely is difficult adjusting to the competition. I also broke my wrist one year, and it set me back a bit in the competition, making me think I was falling behind and loosing my skills.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that is very welcoming, has a good coaching staff, supportive teammates, good resources to help me improve, fit whatever I want to major, and has a good education since I do care a lot about that.
