A starter on the state runners-up in Division VI as just a sophomore, Ahrens is a forward who plays patient with the ball in his hands and wants to use his physicality to his advantage. Ahrens contributes for the Flyers on both the hardwood and the gridiron and that comes through with his style of play in the paint. Overall as a conference the MAC is a rugged and grind it out style of league and Ahrens fits that brand of basketball. After Marion Local came up short in the state title, there’s a few teams in the league this season hoping to find better luck at UD Arena when it’s all said and done.
