Wells’ strong play in the interior was a bright spot for Poynette as he was able to score 12 points thanks to his elevation off the ground and his solid footwork to avoid defenders. At 6-foot-3 and with good jumping ability and strength, Wells was a defendable option for the young Puma guards, who looked to their power forward on almost every possession. Wells battled on the glass on both ends of the court and also had some nice interior passes to teammate Bryce Frey.
