Bobb continued to make strides last season under first-year Egan coach Sean Tait and will have to be somewhat of a focal point up front if the Eagles are to begin climbing their way up the PCL standings in his senior year. A physical and athletic hybrid post, he’s at his best when running the floor hard and using his size and athleticism to wreak havoc within the paint. He’s shown enticing flashes of stepping out as a shooter, handoff hub, and dribble-drive threat as well. Defensively, he’s an active rebounder and shot-blocker who’s mobile enough to step onto the perimeter comfortably when caught in a switch. Young for his grade, Bobb should garner scholarship-level attention with consistent production as a senior or could explore a post-grad year to continue making gains in his development.

It took him a bit to work his way into the flow of the game but Bobb nonetheless showed considerable talent over the course of a double-digit effort. A natural rim-runner in the process of trying to expand his game, he was most effective when he kept things simple by beating opposing forwards down the floor and using his length and athleticism as a finisher around the basket. Bobb did step out and hit a smooth 3 from the top of the key and showed improvement in his ball skills on a number of faceup drives. He’ll have a chance to earn scholarship attention as he learns to blend his skill game with the natural impact he can make using his physical gifts.

It was a season of quiet growth for Bobb, as Egan took some lumps under first-year coach Sean Tait but the athletic hybrid forward established himself as a consistent varsity contributor. Sliding over within the HGSL to BW Elite, he’ll look to continue his progress into the spring and summer while working to expand his game further away from the rim. Still at his best using his size and athleticism as a workhorse up front, Bobb flashes an intriguing long-term upside with his ability to put the ball on the deck from the perimeter and space the floor in spurts. On the young side of his grade and with a transcript fit for most high-academic situations at the next level, Bobb could be an interesting target for any number of programs up to the scholarship level, with the possibility of a post-grad or reclass year potentially in play as well.

Bobb’s physical assets — speed, length, and athleticism — jump out right away. But it is the continued growth in his offensive skills that impressed on Sunday. Each time Bobb takes the floor it appears he has added a new wrinkle to his game. This weekend it was his low post scoring that surprised opponents and fans. Bobb executed several nice spin moves as well as up-n-unders on the low blocks for buckets. Bobb also scored in close via quick flip shots and the offensive glass. When he was outside the paint, Bobb splashed mid-range jumpers as well as threes. On defense, Bobb was a plus rebounder and blocked shots from the weak side.
