About Julius

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a fast-paced, tempo-controlling PG who excels at distributing the ball & getting teammates involved. I stretch the floor with high-percentage three-pointers & shoot efficiently from mid-range. On defense, I anticipate steals, a sneaky shot-blocker, & excel in 1-on-1 situations. As a leader, I take charge, control the game, and make my teammates better with my unselfish play & court awareness.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m an aggressive player on the court who hates losing but knows how to quickly move on and focus on the next game. I’m adaptable, able to self-correct and make in-game adjustments, both for myself and my teammates. Off the court, I’m quiet and keep to myself, but I enjoy having fun with my friends. My hobbies include studying the law, practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and of course, basketball.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have received awards in Law Club and best behavior awards in school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership is a skill I’m actively working on and continuously developing. While I’m naturally focused on improving my own game, I’m learning to better guide and motivate my teammates, making sure we stay aligned and push toward collective goals. I recognize the importance of leading by example, staying composed under pressure, and communicating effectively to elevate the entire team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Leadership. Learning not to be overly concerned with other players’ feelings. Balancing empathy with the need to get the job done is something I’m still navigating. It can also be tough for me to push myself to speak up more, as I tend to be more reserved by nature. However, I’m working on finding the right balance between being supportive and assertive when it matters.

What type of college are you looking for?

Ultimately, I want to play at the college level for a coach and team that believes in my abilities and is committed to helping me succeed at a high level. I want to contribute to and be a part of a winning culture, where excellence is the standard and success is a shared goal.
