Expert Analysis
Andrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
Juel is another Charleston-area guard who caught my eye in Myrtle Beach. He averaged 21.5 PPG between two games on Saturday, aggressively looking to find his shots and put pressure on the opposing defense. Mack’s consistent ability to beat his man off the dribble and get into the paint was one of the things that most moved me. However, he’s just as good finishing with either hand or pulling up for floaters and jumpers when he does get there. The ChuckTown Elite squad has a couple of really strong players, so they should be a target for local D3s and NAIAs during the live period.

Read EvaluationAndrew Baxley | Prep Hoops Scout
One of the top scorers in the Charleston area this year was Juel. He went for over 20 points a night on 47% shooting from the field. Mack is at his best when he’s attacking the rim, so although he is a capable shooter, there is room for growth on the perimeter, having just shot 29% from three. If he can become a true three-level scorer, look out for Juel to be up there with the best in the state next season.
