About Judah

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My gameplay style can be described as smooth paced with a focus on making the right play based on match ups. My go to is the two dribble pull up and/or getting to the rim for dunks if the defense gives me the lane. I’m currently shooting at 38.5% from 3 and can hit consistently and conservatively if needed. I am a 3 level scorer and a competitor who never backs down from a challenge.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am even-keeled, focussed and determined. I am not easily rattled by things and I typically stay focussed on the task at hand. I get along fine with others but when I’m on the court I aim to completely dominate my opponent.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I landed at runner up for Home Coming King without running because of my basketball training commitments. I’ve received multiple academic awards for making the Principals list and honor roll since elementary school. I pretty much just focus on getting an A in every class and training to stay sharp on the court

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve been a leader and a captain on my high school basketball teams, football teams and baseball teams. I’ve helped my father train, teach and coach younger athletes get better while also participating in community service events with him and his fraternity.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, before moving with my father I didn’t get to play much basketball or train much at all. Therefore, when I came to GA and began competing I noticed that lots of the other kids were a little ahead of me after having played since they were young. This forced me to give up lots of my free time for extra hours of skill and strength training. It was hard but it’s now paying off at a high rate.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am a tall guard who likes to play high IQ basketball so I believe I would thrive in an environment that focuses on exploiting mismatches with a coach that can maximize the versatility of the team. I believe in high quality education also so although I want to go to a basketball oriented school, it is important for them to be well respected for academics and high graduation rates as well.
