Jrayden is playing at a high level on the big stage during the AAU season this year. He is shooting the ball lights out from deep, knocking down 42% of his shots while leading the 15u EYBL circuit with 39 made threes throughout this AAU season. He is improving at a high rate and is poised to have a big season next year.

Continued his efficiency as an outside shooter but also worked in some matchups where he had a size advantage into deeper spots, either getting to the rim or stopping and popping for midrange buckets. He scored 19 against Tualatin and 22 versus Annie Wright.

A tough wing, he excels at using his strong frame to muscle through defenders and secure tough buckets in the paint. His ability to stay under control and maintain balance while in the air allows him to finish consistently, even through contact. With a smooth mid-range game, he is adept at creating space and knocking down jumpers. Additionally, he can confidently stretch the floor with his shooting range extending beyond the three-point line.

Whitfield has been one of the better 3-point shooters at the tournament, and he came through with a couple of big shots late in this one. He’s got a very smooth set shot, and his teammates do a great job looking for him when the defense collapses inside.

Whitfield is another high-level shooter from this 2029 class. While we got to see him display an advanced feel for getting to his spots in some of the AAU and fall camps, he’s been able to make his mark during the high school season with spot-up 3-point shooting and some controlled attacks on closeouts. He’s been pretty efficient with his dribbles, and his continued development could have West Valley bringing back one of the top backcourts in the state next season.

Whitfield showcases an exceptional shooting touch from deep, letting it fly with unwavering confidence. His composure shines when the ball is in his hands, navigating the court with control and precision. Strong and physical, he attacks the paint effectively, using his size to finish through contact. Defensively, his strength and presence create mismatches, making him a force on both ends of the floor.

A guard who should have an immediate impact at West Valley with his ability to knock down shots away from the hoop. Already has good size for a guard at 6-foot-4, has shown the comfort and confidence to score at each level, and is very smooth transitioning from dribble to shot. And while his shooting stands out, he’s also a kid willing to compete on the glass and make the extra pass.

Whitfield’s a lanky guard who has shown some real ability to strike from 3-point range, but also has a great foundation to be an all-around scorer. He’ll pair up with a few of their younger guards and wings to highlight a bright future at West Valley, but don’t overlook the impact he will have this season as a kid with some size and touch from different levels.
