-Hall’s junior year was unfortunately sidelined by injuries for most of the season, but he has shown promise and started every game that he was healthy for over the last three years. Hall’s top gear speed in the open floor makes him a dynamic guard to stay in front of in transition and also aids him at the other end in picking up opposing point guards 94 feet. His quickness allows him to fluidly get to his spots in the halfcourt without needing a ball screen, getting downhill with some sharp ankle angles that make him difficult to guard in the key without fouling. Hall has proven adept at knocking down pull-up jumpers from the nail once he gets his matchup on their back heels– if he can extend that range behind the three point arc, it would make him even more of a dynamic matchup.

Jovanni was the offense initiator for St. Mary’s Annapolis. You could usually count on him to make the right play for the team. Jovanni knew how to read the floor better then others and that showed with his timely passing. Makes great passes through traffic and will take the ball all the way to the basket just to get his man open. I expect Jovanni to start using his scoring ability a bit more to open up the floor for SM Annanoplis.

Jovanni shot the ball extremely well in the first half, burying threes with some regularity when he was left open. Handled the ball pretty well when he had control, made for a nice backcourt duo with his teammate. Showed he could dribble well and didn’t force too many plays to happen. He looked for his teammates well and found his big man down low with a couple of nice reads. Would’ve liked to see him be more aggressive in the second half after a pretty solid 1st and 2nd quarter, as his team may have needed it to prevent the Epic South (NY) comeback W.
