. He is a Serbian native in the 2027 class. He is just scratching the surface of what he can become. At 215 pounds, Vortic can play the 3, 4, and 5 positions. He brings a unique blend of size, mobility, and defensive versatility.
This past season (his first in the States), he averaged 7.3 points, 6 rebounds, and 1.1 blocks while shooting an efficient 56% from the field. Those numbers don’t fully tell the story. He was playing in a crowded frontcourt rotation. The flashes were very real.
Vortic is an athletic rim protector. He thrives as a help-side defender. He shows great instincts both as a shot blocker and in passing lanes. Offensively, he finishes well around the rim and plays above it with ease. What stands out most is his ability to guard multiple positions—he’s comfortable switching onto guards while still protecting the paint.
As he continues adjusting to the speed and physicality of the American game, expect a major jump. With Dream 34 Elite on the AAU circuit, Vortic is a name that could see his stock rise quickly. His current trajectory points toward D2/low-mid major D1 upside.
