About Jovan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a versatile wing, capable of scoring from every part of the floor. My best attributes are my athletic dunks and finishes above the rim, my leadership, my skillful passing, my shotblocking, and my ability to knock down shots.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I want to win, and I want to get better everyday. I have the mentality that no matter what happens on the court, I gave everything I could to make myself and my teammates better. I don't leave anything on the court, and I always come off knowing I worked harder than the day before. I'm a very friendly person, and a Christ-centered individual. I'm someone that you can go to on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've been a pianist for 10 years, and I love to play for people. I've earned multiple rewards and recital performances from it. I also work, and I'm deeply invested in that community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed the mentality that I can be who I am on the court, and I can be a very good player. I've developed confidence, and with that came leadership and strength. I'm a good teammate, and our teamwork is amazing, which is something I'm proud of.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I played soccer at a high competitive level since I was 11, and played soccer even before that. I switched over to basketball, and was behind in a lot of things. I had to learn the rules, the high speed pace, and a lot more. I rose above these challenges though, and that brought me to the level I am in basketball today.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will value who I am as a player, but more importantly as a person. I don't have a certain state that I'm looking at, I want to be in an environment where I can become a better player. I want to be able to help my team as much as I can, and also better myself as an individual.
