About Joshua

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a team player. Assist and defense are my specialty. I want to give my forwards and big man room to hit the boards.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am extremely out going. I am the hyphens of the team. I feel that always encouraging my teammates, focusing on our coaches plan create a top tier player. I talk it up, yet I am not offensive or cocky. If an opponent does something good, I don’t mind give them praise. I grew from relationships.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am apart of our black student union at school. I volunteer a lot of time to the Frayser community food bank at Impact Church. Along with my family we volunteer a lot of time to youth at a particular school in Memphis. Also work alongside my parents with disadvantaged youth and adults.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned that my voice matters in the community. The more rooms I sit in to hear about needs of my community, the better understanding I get to share my opinions. I am a leader that loves to have positive workers alongside me. Or I can follow with a detailed leader. Community service has been apart of my life since birth. I only know to serve and I enjoy it.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My most significant challenge is that I’m younger than most of my class. I was pushed up a grade, which my maturity may not be equal to others. Or others feel a little intimidated because I get pushed in a lead position. Hurts my feels, yet I have a supportive family that consist of my parents and 7 siblings.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to be an Arizona Wildcat. My Uncle attended on a track scholarship, for some reason I have always been attracted to that school.
