Tichenor has always had a nice shot from 3-point in his bag but he’s shown a lot more as a point guard this season. He’s upped his scoring total too, remaining a threat from behind the arc, but finding more gaps in the midrange to splash in pull-ups. He’s also done a great job using his dribble to prod the defense with his eyes up and add some more dynamic playmaking to his squad.

Tichenor continues to shoot the rock at a high level from 3-point, but he also showed off his improved creation skills, getting into the midrange to hit pull-ups and weaving through the defense to create openings for teammates. He had a really strong game against O’Dea, finishing with 14 points but also really excelling in setting up teammates from different spots.

Timberline got out to a decent lead against River Ridge thanks in part to Tichenor’s hot shooting. He finished the game with seven made threes and capitalized on his quick release to get shots off in space. He does a great job making himself available for kick-outs and getting to his spots in transition to drill the deep shots, and also showed some pretty impressive quickness with the ball to shake defenders and get to space.

Tichenor is a quick little guard who stays ready from behind the arc and showed off a quick trigger with some nice consistency from deep. He’s got some potential to penetrate defenses and push the pace in transition but seemed to mainly look to distribute off the dribble and spot up off the ball to stretch the floor.
