Justin Prather | Prep Hoops Scout
Despite some foul trouble, he was a difference maker in the post for MWP. He led the only team from District 4 to the trophy round, where they placed 4th. He was a man on the block when he was in the game. He was unstoppable in most situations. Once he gets the ball deep in the paint, he will likely get you a bucket.

He is not only big but talented. He has a nice looking shot, smooth with lots of rotation that extends beyond the three point line. He is best in the low block, where he can muscle his way to the basket. He is not just a big, strong player. He has good moves and footwork in the post with his back to the basket. His 10 to 15 foot jumpers are clean. He can get himself from block to block with the power dribble or two. He will be a tough match-up for 2B schools and any other he plays.

One of the true big men post players in 2B. He’s a tough match up in the paint and clears space with his size. He can also step out and hit the triple with his soft touch. Led MWP to a 5th place finish at state.

Probably the best big man in all of 2B. He was a force in the paint last year and led MWP to a 5th place finish at the state tournament. He’s not only big, but he can also shoot from distance, and has a nice touch from mid-range. He does most of his damage in the paint on offensive rebounds and getting lay ups.

With him, the West has a true post player and a good one. He’s big bodied and skilled, which makes it tough to stop him at the 2B level. Not many teams have a player that size and that skilled. He’s got a nice touch and can step out and hit the three. Counting on him to get easy buckets in the paint.

Salguero isn’t like a lot of other 6’7 forwards. An outstanding football player, Salguero is thick and strong with some surprising bursts in short spaces. He won’t score a ton of buckets on this squad but his presence setting thundering picks, sending back shots, and owning the boards will be key. He has a unique ability to quickly eat up space around the paint and will make things tough for anyone trying to bring the ball inside.
