The face of the MADE Hoops circuit this spring, Powell showed he more than has the game to match his notoriety on the recruiting trail, pouring in buckets as he’s known to do to help the Jayhawks past RI Elite in a tight contest. Having always carried a degree of natural bulk, the NYC native looks as toned as ever with a good deal of power packed into his compact frame. With the teams trading blows and the score on the proverbial seesaw, Powell broke things open while displaying his natural scoring instincts and elite shotmaking prowess from all over the floor. Moreover, he did it from every spot on the floor, knocking down clutch three-pointers before icing the game at the free-throw line. He might have been quiet for most of the game but the four-star recruit showed up and showed out when it counted most.

Josh showed off his usual complete game. Plus a little more as he has improved on his shooting from beyond the arc. Tremendous basketball body with strength and great lift on his jumper. He continues to get to the rim in a very tough league with strength and finishes through contact. There was no quit in Josh as he once again did everything he could do to get the Stanners back into the game. He plays as hard down 20 or up 20.
